Continuing Education

CIRC is working to arrange for real estate continuing education classes through approved state real estate schools/course providers and instructors. Class rates are discounted for CIRC members, but others are welcome to attend at the non-member rates. Classes will be posted below when arranged and open for registration.

State Licensing Requirements: 
Scroll down for more information about state licensing requirements. Keep in mind that continuing education for licensing renewals are due as follows:

Delaware credits/renewal are due by April 30, 2026 (even years),
Pennsylvania credits/renewal are due by May 31, 2026 (even years),
New Jersey credits are due by April 30, 2025 and renewal is due by June 30, 2025 (odd years), and
Maryland credits/renewal align with individual date of licensing.

Safety Protocol for in-person classes: We are committed to providing a safe environment for our classes and lunch events. We ask that everyone continue to be vigilant about their own safety and that of others and not attend if experiencing any COVID-19, flu or respiratory illness symptoms (fever, chills, cough, etc.).

SALESPERSONS AND ASSOCIATE BROKERS

RESIDENTIAL - Salespersons and Associate Brokers:

• 15 hours which includes 3.0 Legal & Legislative Update, 1.5 Fair Housing, 3.0 Ethics, 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures, and the remaining 4.5 hours are Electives.

COMMERCIAL Only - Salespersons and Assoc. Brokers:

• 15 hours which includes 3.0 Legal & Legislative Update, 0 Fair Housing, 3.0 Ethics, 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures, and the remaining 6 hours are Electives.


BROKERS AND DESIGNATED BRANCH OFFICE MANAGERS OR TEAM LEADERS

RESIDENTIAL - Brokers, Branch Office Managers or Team Leaders:

• 15 hours which includes 3.0 Legal & Legislative Update, 1.5 Fair Housing, 3.0 Ethics, 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures, 3.0 Supervision, and the remaining 1.5 hours are Electives.

COMMERCIAL Only - Brokers, Branch Managers or Team leaders:

• 15 hours which includes 3.0 Legal & Legislative Update, 0 Fair Housing, 3.0 Ethics, 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures, 3.0 Supervision, and the remaining 3 hours are Electives.

License Renewal: June 30 of odd years (2025, 2027, etc.)


The New Jersey Real Estate Commission mandates that all real estate licensees complete 12 continuing education credit hours every two years to maintain their licenses. The 2025 Term is July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2025. CE completed after April 30 will be subject to a $200 late fee in addition to the license renewal fee. Any licensee who does not complete their credits by June 30, 2025, will not be able to renew their license and it will expire.


  • You must complete 12 continuing education credit hours
  • Two hours must be completed in Ethics Topic Area
  • One hour must be completed in the Fair Housing Topic Area
  • Six hours must be completed in Core Topic Area
  • The six remaining hours may be completed in core or elective topics
